Zippy's Late Night serves as a host to local artists seeking to perform their music, poetry, live art and spoken word. It is also one of very few Snohomish county youth less than 21 have to enjoy these artists.
"This town has nothing to do for anyone under the age of 21, especially at night," said 20-year-old Mac Dobbins, Zippy's manager and featured artist.
"[In Everett] you have to stay home if you don't want to break the law," said Dobbins, "[Zippy's] gives kids in Everett something to do besides meth."
Dobbins tries to promote a forward thinking, progressive atmosphere. The lounge showcases all different types of music with artists such as Auraswon, The Galactic Federation of Light, IG88 and Wizdumb.
Zippy's next Late Night will take place on March 19 at 9p.m. and feature Zen Chemists, Triceracorn, Moth1ne, T11, Mushroomz and Renaissance.

Good story! It's great that Zippy's is doing this! I would like to see more clubs offering shows and dancing for all ages in Everett!
