Everett Community College will host a free program named College Goal Sunday that helps students and their families to get free money for college. The event will be held in Shuksan Hall, room 132 on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 1 p.m.

Drawings for four $250 scholarships $250 will be held at the event.

Pre-registration is not required but there is an online sign-up to guarantee a time slot.

After the informational session, students and families will go to computer labs and begin filing out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for 2010-2011.

Students are encouraged to fill out the FAFSA even if they are uncertain about their college plans. Students and parents are encouraged to come together because the household financial information is crucial in completing the form. Social security number and driver's license (if any) are also required for the application.
